Scuba VBS Position Descriptions

Bible Adventure Leader – These organized storytellers bring the Bible to life for groups of elementary age kids through interactive and engaging experiences, then help kids apply the word of God to their own lives. They should be comfortable acting and being silly in front of groups of kids.  

Bible Adventure Assistant Leader – This person would assist the Bible Adventure leaders in bringing Bible stories to life. This would be a good position for someone interested in leading the station in a future year or a High School student.

Check in Station Volunteer – These organized and friendly people would be in charge of checking the children in every morning.  

Crew Leader – High School Students are needed to serve as Crew leaders. Who will lead a small group of elementary age kids. There’s no preparation required. A good crew leader is a friend and helper for the kids and station leaders. They ask questions, take kids seriously and encourage them throughout VBS. (10 - 15 needed)

Assistant Crew Leader – Middle School students (grades 6-8) will assist the Crew Leader in assisting the kids during VBS. (15-30 needed)

 Games Leader – These energetic and organized individuals are in charge of leading groups of elementary age kids in fun physical activities and discussions.

 Games Assistant Leader – The assistant leader would help the leaders to lead groups of elementary age kids in fun physical activities and discussions.  

Imagination Station Leader – The Imagination Station leaders encourage creativity and bring the Bible point to life through interactive and impactful experiments for groups of elementary age kids. Organization, imagination, and creativity are a must for these fun loving leaders.  

Imagination Station Assistant Leader – The imagination station assistant leader will help the imagination station leaders in conducting the experiments and directing the kids. This would be a good position for someone interested in leading the station in a future year or a High School student . 

Snack Team – As a member of the snack team you will help organize and prep snacks for the week of VBS. 

Sticky Scripture Leader – The leader at the Sticky Scripture station leads kids in sharing interactive and engaging Bible experiences. This station involves Bible reading, a short video, and small group discussions. 

 Sticky Scripture Assistant Leader – The assistant leader at the Sticky Scripture station aids the leaders in sharing interactive and engaging Bible experiences with the kids. This would be a good position for someone interested in leading the station in a future year or a High School student.

All children/grandchildren of volunteers attend SCUBA VBS for free!
All adult volunteers (18 & up) must complete Safe Environment training.
