What are parish committee activities?
Committees carry out a wide variety of tasks. They study, pray, and act to make the parish a center through which its members carry out its mission. Committees develop strategies to implement parish policies and goals in their area of mission; provide continuous opportunities for people to grow spiritually through active participation in parish life. Who decides each committee's responsibility? As working bodies of the parish, committees implement plans and develop procedures for their specific area of responsibility according to the priorities and goals of the parish council. The council holds each committee accountable not only for accomplishing its objectives, but also for doing so in the context of the parish mission statement and within the boundaries defined by parish policy. How do I share feedback or concerns? Parish Council liaisons are key means of ongoing communication between the committees and the council. Parishioners with questions or comments pertaining the goals, objectives, or priorities of the work of the committees are invited to contact the appropriate parish council liaison. To email a liaison, click on their name or, if you prefer, call the parish office at 258-8821 and leave a message. |
